Mount Carmel – Thomas D. Mudry, 83, of 200 S. Beech St., passed away March 29, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.  Tom, as he was known by his family and friends was born and raised in Kulpmont on January 30, 1939, the son of Walter and Anna M. (Pesarchick) Mudry. Tom was a 1956 graduate of Kulpmont High School and worked tirelessly as a self-employed truck driver. He married Joann R. Pupo on July 26, 1958 in the SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. Tom and Joann shared 63 years together.

Tom will always be remembered for the love of his family. He was especially proud of his granddaughter, Dr. Lauryn Leach, who he would be happy to share stories about. In fact, telling stories about past escapades was one of Tom's favorite pastimes. When Tom was not putting in endless hours of work you could always find him sitting on his front porch listening to Polka's and oldies music as he watched the cars pass by. Tom was a fixture and could always be counted on for a big wave and a smile. In his later years he was rarely seen without his dogs Penny and Maddie and if he was, he was probably puppy sitting his daughters' dogs! Tom will be missed but always remembered for his "Red Mack Truck" and his CB handle "Bowling Ball".  Until we meet again – 10-4 Tom!

Thomas is survived by his wife, Joann R. Mudry of Mt. Carmel; two daughters, Laurie McClelland and husband, William David of Westminster, MD and Linda Leach and husband, John of Paxinos; a granddaughter, Dr. Lauryn Leach of Lynchburg VA; sister -in-law Helen Mudry of Paxinos, as well as many nieces, nephews. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Mudry and wife, Kathryn and John (Jeff) Mudry; two sisters, Anna Bogner and husband, Edward and Connie Martini and husband, Gilbert; two brothers-in-law, Joseph R. Pupo and wife, Irene and Albert Pupo and wife, Vilma; and nephew, Paul J. Pupo.

Thomas D. Mudry, 83, of 200 S. Beech St., Mt. Carmel– A Divine Liturgy will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Very Reverend Archpriest Michael Hutsko officiating in SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 131 N. Beech St., Mt.
