Kulpmont -Valerie D. (Gould) Peek, 82, of 531 Pine Street, passed away on December 5, 2025, at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

She was born in Pentney, England, on February 25, 1943, the daughter of Fred and Eunice (Coggles) Gould.

On November 25, 1961, she moved to the United States after marrying Michael J. Peek in Pentney, England.

She was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels.

Valerie devoted her life to her family, always placing our needs above her own and provided constant love, comfort, and support. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who lovingly called her "Nanny". Valerie enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and listening to music. Deeply rooted in her British heritage, she loved sharing her traditions with her family.

Valerie is survived by her husband, Michael J. Peek of Kulpmont; a son, Stephen (Stephanie) Peek of Mount Carmel; a daughter, Maria (Bill) Callahan of Elysburg; a grandson, Zackery Peek and girlfriend Rachel Siko: three granddaughters, Emily, Grace, and Faith Callahan; a sister, Rita; a brother, Terry; a brother-in-law Rusty Smith and a sister-in-law, Josephine Katchick, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Valerie was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria and Jean; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Peek and Edward Peek; and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Walczak.

Valerie will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue through the hearts of all who loved and knew her.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 8 p.m. with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, PA. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of the service in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
