Victor Girardi

Victor Joseph F. Girardi, born November 6, 1949, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 at Geisinger Medical Center on September 9, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.

Throughout his short illness, Vic’s positive outlook, good humor, and gregarious nature remained an inspiration to all who cared for him. His warmth and ability to connect with others were defining qualities that will be remembered by many.

A graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School, Vic was a familiar and respected member of the Mount Carmel business community during the 1970s and 1980s, where he worked for Liberty Bank and Mount Carmel Township as Transportation Director. His later professional career included teaching positions with the Shikellamy School District and, most recently, the Mount Carmel Area School District.

Vic was kindhearted and generous, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His friendship, humor, generosity, and stories will be deeply missed by his family, friends, former colleagues, students, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at noon with Father Bernard Wamayose, AJ, officiating at All Saints Cemetery in Elysburg, PA, in Victor’s honor.
