Kulpmont – Violet (Kodack) Altomire-LaCrosse, 95, of 915 Scott Street, passed away on December 13, 2022 at home with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Shamokin on November 29, 1927, the daughter of John and Josephine (Laskoskie) Kodack.

Violet attended school in Shamokin and was a life-long resident of Kulpmont. She worked in a garment factory until her retirement.

In 1943 she married Anthony Altomire in Shamokin, who preceded her in death in 1981. In 1982 she married Anthony LaCrosse in Kulpmont, who preceded her in death on December 23, 1996.

Violet was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels. She enjoyed watching game shows on TV and listening and watching Polka music.

Violet is survived by three daughters, JoAnna Raybuck of Kulpmont, Antoinette Sinopoli-Faust of Kulpmont, and Theresa Korenkiewicz of Kulpmont; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and two husbands, Violet was preceded in death by four sons-in-law, Albert "Buckey" Raybuck, Dominic "Mickey" Sinopoli Jr., James Faust, and Jimmy Korenkiewicz;13 brothers and sisters; and a great-grandson, Aaron Michael Gallagher.

All are welcome to a graveside service that will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 12 p.m. with Father Andrew Stahmer as Celebrant in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont, PA 17834. Arrangements are in care of C. J.
