Northumberland - Walter Visloskie, 89, of 169 Dogwood Lane, passed away at Geisinger Medical Center on Monday, November 5, 2018, surrounded by his family.

Born in Trevorton on December 5, 1928, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Revak) Visloskie. He attended school in Trevorton and retired from the Northumberland County Prison where he was a corrections officer.

On May 27, 1956, in Shamokin's Transfiguration Ukrainian Catholic Church, he married the late Madeline Jepko. Walter was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was a lifetime member of the Clover Hose Company of Mount Carmel and a lifetime member and past trustee of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Walter is survived by a, son, Michael Visloskie of MD; and a daughter, Suzanne Burge and her husband Gerald of Northumberland, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew Visloskie and his wife June, Michael Visloskie and his wife Anna and Peter Visloskie and his wife Alyce; and two sisters, Helen Hojnacki and her husband Walter and Eva Weibeck.

Walter Visloskie, 89, of 169 Dogwood Lane, Northumberland - Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 131 North Beech Street, Mount Carmel, with the Very Reverend Archpriest Michael Hutsko, Officiating. Burial will be held at Transfiguration Cemetery in Coal Township. Viewing will be held Saturday from 9:00 am - 10:45 am with Panakhyda at 10:00 am in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J. Lucas, Supervisor.
