Mount Carmel - William J. Condron, 89, of 134 Chestnut Lane, was called to heaven on, Friday, December 1, 2017.

Born in Mount Carmel on February 19, 1928, he was the son of the late Edward and Adeline (Guidadas) Condron.  William was a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel and a 1946 graduate of Mount Carmel Catholic High School.  Following graduation, he enlisted and proudly served with the US Navy from 1946-1948 as a Hospital Corpsman stationed at the US Naval Hospital in Bethesda, MD. After completing his military service, William went on to be employed as a Welder for Dana Corporation until his retirement.

On September 29, 1951 in the former Holy Cross Church, Mount Carmel, he married the love of his life, Marie R. Butts, who survives.  Together they shared 66 years of marriage.

Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting with his loyal canine companions and fishing, although, his greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchild.

William was a member of the American Hose Fire Company, where he served as a volunteer firefighter and volunteer ambulance driver.  He was also an active member of Holy Cross Parish, where he was an usher, as well as a member of the Holy Name Society.

In addition to his wife, Marie, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah Sutsko of Exeter Township; a son, William Condron Jr. of Blandon; four grandchildren, Kera, Michael, Alex and Rachel; a great grandson, Giovanni; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Condron; and a step-mother, Alice Condron.

Condron, 89, of 134 Chestnut Lane, Mount Carmel - Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 11:00 am in Our Lady's Church, 47 South Market Street, Mount Carmel with Father Frank Karwacki, officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Mount Carmel.  Viewing will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00 - 10:45, at C. J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C. J.
