Mount Carmel - William H. "Bill" Herb, 72, of 132 South Grape Street, died Saturday, January 6, 2018 in his residence.

Born in Coal Township on November 4, 1945, he was the son of the late Harry A. and Catherine R. (Shroyer) Herb. He was a 1963 graduate of Coal Township High School.

He retired in 2000 from State of PA.

Bill was a member of the American Legion of Mount Carmel and served with the US Army during the Vietnam War and also served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his life partner of 41 years, Joyce Milewski of Mount Carmel; a daughter Melissa Kovac of Colorado; eleven brothers and sisters along with brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition he is survived by Joyce's sister, Ginny Reichwein and Joyce's two nephews.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Bill will be greatly missed and forever loved.

William H. "Bill" Herb, 72, of 132 South Grape Street, Mount Carmel - Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 10:00 am  in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel with Reverend Joan Brown, officiating.  Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.  Viewing will be held Tuesday morning from 8:30 until the time of service in the C.J.
