OBITUARY

Marion Heights - Willie Mae Heiser, 86, of 124 West North Street, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Huffsmith, Texas on July 17, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Willie Maple (Bentley) Young. She was a 1949 graduate of Tom Ball High School in Tom Ball, Texas.

She has been a resident of Marion Heights for the past 65 years, having worked in the local garment factories as a sewing machine operator, in the summer she worked at Knoebel's Grove.

On September 11, 1952 in Hearne, Texas she married the late Fred D. Heiser, who preceded her in death on October 28, 2001.

She was a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, currently a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, as well as a member of the ILGWU.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Webster and her husband George of Lantana, FL; a son George Heiser of Marion Heights; two grandchildren, Katie and Laura Webster; four brothers, Wade, John, and Leroy Young all of Texas and Bill Young of California; two sisters, Ruby Lee Koenig and Clara Dean both of Texas as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Ginnie Johnson and a grandson, Danny Webster.

Willie Mae Heiser, 86 of 124 West North Street, Marion Heights - Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont with Father Andrew Stahmer, officiating.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Marion Heights. At the request of the deceased there will not be a viewing. C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 1053 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont, C.J. Lucas, Supervisor is handling arrangements.
